Kaisa ang Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas sa pagdiriwang ng Credit Consciousness Week (CCW) mula 24 hanggang 30 ng Abril 2026. Sa temang, “ Sa pag-utang nang wasto, bukas ay planado,” itinatampok ng CCW 2026 ang kahalagahan ng responsableng pag-utang sa pagbuo ng matatag na kinabukasan ng sambayanan.

"Commemorating the Philippines as ASEAN 2026 Chair"

The 10-piso ASEAN coin commemorates the role of the Philippines as chair of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2026 and highlights the country’s leadership and contributions to the region. The reverse side of the coin features the ASEAN 2026 official logo and a QR code linking to the BSP website. Including a QR code on the coin bridges tradition and technology, enabling the public to access real-time updates of ASEAN events through digital experiences. The obverse side retains the design of the currently circulating 10-piso from the New Generation Currency coin series, which features Apolinario Mabini and the coin’s face value.

Increase in PDIC Maximum Deposit Insurance Coverage

Effective 15 March 2025, the Maximum Deposit Insurance Coverage provided by the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) is increased to One Million Pesos (P1,000,000.00) per depositor, per bank. Banks are enjoined to download the new Official PDIC Digital Decal from the link below starting 28 February 2025. Upon effectivity of the new MDIC, banks shall prominently display the new Official PDIC Digital Decal in its official website, official social media pages, digital channels, mobile applications, ATMs and other similar machines, and include in its general advertisements and advertisement of deposit products the new Insurance Statement: “Deposits are insured by PDIC up to P1 Million per depositor.” Banks are likewise enjoined to display the attached Notice to Depositors on the new MDIC in place of the old decals and standees.
